Volunteers play an important role in Dawn Center being able to
provide needed services to the community.
There are many ways you can volunteer your time.
In Direct Service- Assist with donation pickups, inventory, cleaning, property maintenance, clerical work, data entry, event planning/fundraising, event staffing, marketing, and much more. Contact giving@dawncenter.org or call 352-639-0892 to get more information.
Direct Service- Assist advocates in working directly with survivors offering transportation, individual and group support, life skills training, art and music classes, home skills, financial skills, exercise and mediation, and so much more. Dawn Center relies on Grant Funding, Fundraising, and Donations from the community to provide services at no cost to survivors and their families. We are proud that our administration operating costs are low which allows the largest percentage of funds to go directly to survivors we serve in the way of support services. We are always looking to gain community partners who are willing to donate on a regular or one-time basis.
Monetary donations are always accepted and help fund services such as transportation, daily shelter necessities, and office supplies. You can Paypal these directly to us at the top of this page.
Themed donations for holiday celebrations and back to school are always welcome. Our Shelter and Outreach participants can always use a gift to brighten their day. Holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's, Valentine's Day, Easter, Back to School, and Birthdays are celebrated at our various locations and mean a lot to the families we serve.
